The EICs brought cornstarch and food coloring to make OOBLECK! A great stress reliever - playing with it is a little messy but the clean up is easy. Squishing it between your fingers is just plain FUN!
Cake is CHEAP and it's incredible how happy it can make a group of kids on a deadline. It's an investment, truly.
Segway Outback - A local mall has a fun little course that is very affordable and HILARIOUS to watch kids learn to Segway. Great activity for the beginning of the year.
Every year our school has a canned food drive and it's during our Newspaper period. We do it BIG! The kids look forward to not only collecting the cans, helping out the community, and whoooooping the other classes - but also building this WICKED fort every year!
Just threw this cute one in there because it was such an awesome moment. This student's parents surprised him with his car during one of our late nights. Naturally we had to turn it in to a photo opportunity to document it for him. We were all SOOO excited and this picture is just perfect!
Sometimes I play tiny pranks on my staff - but this was one they got ME! A kiddo put my stapler is jello! I looooooove The Office, so I wasn't even mad, but it did ruin my stapler... hahaha
Clearly Jax does not care about trees... and gave himself a brain break to let me know what I should name any future babies I may have. Hahaha!
After the yearbook is done, it's hard to keep the kids busy. We had lots of balloons left over from promoting distribution, so we had a class wide game of "Keep the Ballon in the AIr." It was INTENSE and sooo fun! Also great content for Twitter!
